LEWISBURG — Congressman Tom Marino (R-10) told Susquehanna Valley Conservatives how he came to receive national attention after being confronted on the House floor earlier this year by Nancy Pelosi (D-12, Calif.). Marino explained that it began during a debate of House issues as Pelosi berated Congress for what she saw as its lack of accomplishments.

“She started saying things that were not true,” Marino said. “She started picking out members by name. One does not do that.”

Rather than retreating to the cloak room, Marino told the gathering something compelled him to check in with the Republican debate chairman, and then address Congress, and claim the previous Congress under Pelosi’s leadership did nothing of substance on immigration, tax reform or make adjustments to government-run health care proposals…
