U.S. Rep. Tom Marino remained critical of President Barack Obama while laying out bipartisan initiatives at a town hall meeting Thursday.

Part of a series, the town hall meeting at the Ramada Clarks Summit gave Mr. Marino, R-10, Lycoming Twp., a chance to speak with a dozen constituents about issues that concern them and the plans he has for this session of Congress. The Affordable Care Act, terrorism and federal regulations dominated the conversation.

Mr. Marino called Obamacare “the worst legislation in history,” and said he expects the Republican-dominated legislature to work on limiting the bill either through a lawsuit or by dismantling sections of it. The congressman said the bill has created a burden on businesses and has mandated the government spend more than it can afford.

“This is a serious economic problem,” he said. “People should have access to health care, and if they can’t afford it, we should help them, but this was not the way to do it.”
